TEAM FX SCHOLARSHIPS

TEAM FX is a social entrepeneurship that prides itself on a culture of equal opportunity practices. We recognize everyone as an equal HERO with equal potential, but we know that not everyone has a situation that allows them equal opportunity. To offer some assistance, we offer TWO scholarships for each training season to offset the cost of participating with us at the ATHLETE level (members who wish to train, walk or run, for a 10K, Half Marathon or Full Marathon). One scholarship offers coverage of 100% of our regular rates for one season. The other scholarship offers coverage of 50% of our regular rates for one season. All members are expected to participate fully in the life of the team and commit to raising awareness and funds for their local shelter for child abuse, neglect and exploitation. Scholarships are awarded with careful discernment of all applications each season based on their story and need. We take every application seriously.

OUR TRAINING SEASONS & APPLICATION DEADLINES – While anyone can start and train up to their own specific goal at any time of the year, each particular season offers its own particular flavor, intensity, and distance goals as desired. 

  • SPRING  [LATE FEBRUARY > EARLY APRIL] : a fun, low-intensity, but quick 6-week ramp-up in the cool Spring season from walking 1 mile to walking or running a 10K (6.21 miles). APPLICATION DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 23
  • SUMMER  [MID-APRIL > LATE JULY] : a sustainable 13-week program that dovetails off the 10K and keeps us active in the warm Texas Summer. Walk or run your own pace and distance or ramp up to achieve our summer 10K. APPLICATION DEADLINE: APRIL 1
  • FALL/WINTER  [EARLY AUGUST > MID- FEBRUARY] : a slow-paced and gradual 28-week schedule, suited for all athletic levels, especially beginners to start at zero and achieve a 10K, Half Marathon or Full Marathon. APPLICATION DEADLINE: AUGUST 9
